Rei Sakuma. I don't know where to even start but First of all, have a happy, happy birthday!!! It's finally YOUR day and I've been looking forward since… for the last 6 months! You've been my favorite for 6 years now, although I wished I knew about you sooner. But I guess it was never too late for me to get to know you and dedicate my love for you, both as a fan and a “yumejo”. (˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵)For the past six years I've been always grateful to you. For bringing me comfort and happiness. And although it started as a simple fictional character crush, I learned to know more about you via stories and Interactions with other characters. More things that I love about you is how selfless you are. And to think you’re always thinking about others before yourself, that really is admirable. You're one of the most talented and stunning idols and for me, you're truly the only idol that I will forever support. Now, I cannot find exactly that one thing- like one specific thing about you that makes you so special to me. It’s everything, really - you're an incredible character with an amazing design which includes your jet black hair, scarlet eyes and fangs. Although I feel like I love your eyes since it allures everyone with your mesmerizing eyes. Which unfortunately, makes me weak whenever I look at it. Or maybe even your smile that seems to make me smile as well. I love to you happy. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)I love watching MV’s of you and UNDEAD. Although it’s a joke on how you guys seem to flirt with your mic stand, your stage presence is captivating and I love how you dance… kinda crazy I know but the way you move is graceful, in which I believe that was due to your hobby in jazz dancing. I’d love to see you actually do that in future MV’s. I also find it enthralling every time I get to hear you sing or speak. I could listen to your songs and voice lines for hours and maybe watch the anime episodes that you appear in. I honestly can’t pick which of your solo songs I like the best. Let’s just go with both because I actually do love both! And do you know how you manage to be cool and cute at the same time? As the fandom would say, a soppiing, pathetic cat? Kidding aside, I guess that comes naturally to idols and since you're always seen as the cool, sexy and mature idol, being cute and immature seems to suit you as well. Did I mentioned how cute you were in your lookback scout? And how amazing you are as Ritsu's older brother? The story also helped me to see what were your childhood looked like and while it's hard, I'm glad you're now able to take things slowly as to not overwhelm yourself. ꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱აI like to stare all day looking at your wonderful cards and how each of them emphasizes your beauty and grace. Although scouting for you has been difficult lately due to the R.N.G refusing you to come home to me without a spark. In the end it doesn't really matter that much since I was able to get you, but I'm hoping to be able to get you easily. And without having to spark you ever again so please be nice to me. Nevertheless, thank you for coming home!!! Most of my stuff is customized and printed by myself but it doesn't mean my love for you is lesser if I have the official merch and I also prefer to make journal pages and love letters for expressing my gratitude towards your existence in my life. ₍⑅ᐢ..ᐢ₎I could say that I began to become a yumejoshi in 2018, but decided to use an OC instead of myself since I feel that’s less embarrassing for me. My self-insert OC Misaka barely resembles me at all, but I know she loves you as much as I do. Editing you both brings joy for me as well as writing your stories together. I always share my creations to my friends in which they squeal over it and that makes me over the moon. I do wish I could share it to the world but for now, I’ll keep making creations that I can be proud of to put to the world. (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)The past few years, especially the 2020’s, have been somewhat of a rollercoaster ride. I always get anxious when I feel how I show much love for you is lesser than anyone else. And times where I brought myself down due to those insecurities. And as such, I could feel like I’m drifting away from you. Like I almost dropped you, per se. But in the end, after some validation and self-acceptance, I learned to appreciate the things I do on my own and that’s enough for me to bring myself up once more. And in cheesy terms, let’s just say that it feels like I’ve fallen for you once again. I'm sorry If I ever thought of that. (๑﹏๑//)Once again, happy birthday, Rei! You inspired me a lot, to create things I thought I couldn't and to change and improve as a person, even if it’s one step at a time. This letter was longer than I anticipated, but hey, I’ve been preparing content weeks before since I couldn’t be free on your actual birthday but I’ll try to play the event and maybe have another cake. And once more, thank you for always being here by my side, even if you're not tangible and physical.
